Serna Rosenfeld, a native to the Woodstock area, is a life-long painter who is known for her "fauvist" color use, expressionist figuration and generally bold painting style.

Primarily self-taught, Rosenfeld studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles in the early 80's. and has spend a good deal of her life in california.

This particular painting was purchased at Robert Dana Gallery in San Francisco in 1993 where it was acquired directly from the artist.
